Kiwi, Strawberry, and Lemon infused water is packed with health benefits and easy to make!
As we are approaching the glorious Cleveland summer months, our thoughts are turning away from hot teas (such as our very own Ginger Lemon) and more towards refreshing, ice cold thirst quenchers. By no means would we consider soda as one of these options and plain ol’ water can get a bit boring. So what’s a girl to do? Fruit infused waters of course! Lemon infused water is quite familiar in restaurants but we are taking infused water to another level.
Fruit infused water is an excellent way to quench your thirst AND more importantly, increase your overall water consumption. There are a few combinations of fruit that I adore but, my very favorite is…Kiwi, Strawberry, and Lemon. These flavors are perfect enhancers for ice cold water playing off of each other’s sweetness and bitterness.
The list goes on and on, there simply is no question- drinking fruit infused water is a good thing to do.
Viola, you now have a beautiful alternative to soda or sports drinks that is not only a joy to drink but, looks appealing (this is important- you will actually WANT to drink this pretty little number the second you see it). In the interest of time, I like to prepare my fruit flavored water at night. I place a lid on the mason jar and leave it in the fridge overnight. Nothing quenches your thirst better first thing in the morning. In addition- I reuse my fruit. I tend to drink these very fast and feel wasteful disposing of the fruit so quickly. I just refill it and sip away on a second round (the flavor is of course diminished but, good enough for me).
