We all have summer traditions. Those things we do every year to make the season feel well lived. For some, it is time spent at Edgewater Beach enjoying Lake Erie. For others, it is the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Whatever your family does to enjoy this sunny season, add The FEST to your list.
The Catholic Diocese sponsors The FEST to provide “a day of faith, family, and fun.” It is an inspirational day for Northeast Ohio families with 40,000 in attendance. It is a free event with plenty of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. A welcome reprieve with rising costs everywhere you turn.
The FEST takes place in August at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe, Ohio. Parking is free with a complimentary shuttle service. Thanks to locally owned Marc’s, the first 2500 entrants also get free lunch. It includes a sub sandwich, chips, and a bottle of Distillata Water. Aside from the free food for the first 2500 entrants, The FEST has options kids will actually eat and you will like too. A menu of burgers, bratwurst, hot dogs, sandwiches, fruit, and desserts will please the entire family.

Although The FEST is best known for its impressive music lineup, there is much more. Your family is welcome to enjoy stilt walkers, inflatables, a petting zoo, bubble art, acrobats, crafts & more. There is plenty to keep the kids busy while you head off to the Marc’s Moms’ Relaxation Station, and Man Cave! It doesn’t end there. After a full day of entertainment, The FEST will close out the evening with a fireworks show at 10 pm.

The FEST is faith-based. You can partake in various religious activities throughout the day if you so desire. From worship, family blessings, and men’s prayer to adoration, confession, and outdoor mass.
