Installation instructions

Safety First

  • Always unplug your water cooler before disassembling it.
  • Make sure the hot water tank switch (if applicable) is turned off.

Preparation:

  • Remove the water bottle.
  • Drain any remaining water by pressing the dispenser levers.

Remove the old spigot:

  • Find the coupling nut on the base of the broken spigot (where it connects to the dispenser).
  • Using a wrench (adjustable or crescent wrench may be best), carefully unscrew the coupling nut counter-clockwise.
  • Remove the old spigot.

Install the New Spigot:

  • Place the new spigot in the same position as the old one.
  • Screw the coupling nut onto the new spigot by hand-tightening first.
  • Use the wrench to tighten the nut further, but be careful not to over-tighten and damage the spigot or threads.

Flush the System (for cold dispensers only):

  • Pour about a gallon of clean tap water into the reservoir.
  • Hold down both spigots to flush out any debris or air pockets.

Prime the Hot Water Tank (for hot and cold dispensers only):

  • Refill the reservoir with clean tap water.
  • Load the 5-gallon water bottle onto the dispenser.
  • Once the hot water tank is full, dispense 2-3 cups of water from the hot water spigot (usually red) to remove any air and prime the tank.

Finishing Up:

  • Once you’re confident there are no leaks, and everything is reassembled properly, plug the water cooler back in.
  • Place a fresh bottle on the cooler.
  • If your dispenser has a hot water tank switch, turn it on.

The hot water tank should take about 5 minutes to heat up. After that, you’ll have cold and (if applicable) hot water dispensing from your cooler!
