Room moms, this one is for you! Your Halloween class party craft must be unique, fun, and cute — while at the same time easy enough for small hands, and mess-free for the teacher’s sanity. Plus, there is a time limit. You have about 20 minutes to center the attention of 23 seven-year-olds enough to complete the project, clean up and move on to snack time! That is a tall order, I know, I was there once and failed as an adorable third grader said of my craft choice- “I thought this was going to be a fun party.” OUCH. After my wounds healed, I was able to see the error of my ways and can now spot a perfect Halloween class party craft from a mile away. The mummy water bottle is just that!
- Small water bottles
- Glue stick
- Black paper
- Plastic spiders
- Googly eyes
Wrap your water bottle with gauze. Cut the leftover gauze and tuck the end into an available gap.
Glue two googly eyes to the water bottle.
Cut an oval out of the black paper to serve as the mouth of your mummy and use glue to attach it to the bottle.
Attach a plastic spider (or two) with glue.
And…your water bottle mummy is born!
The result is a trouble-free class craft but, you also get a healthy drink choice to boot!
