How does water delivery work?
If you’re considering Distillata water delivery for your home or office, there are four easy steps you’ll need to complete so that we can start delivering our locally-produced water to you. Click here to learn how to set up a water delivery schedule for your home or business.
How do bottle deposits work?
Our 5-gallon water bottles, also referred to as “carboys”, are subject to a $7.00 deposit. Each bottle purchased on your initial delivery will have an associated fee.
For example, 1 bottles = a $7.00 deposit, 2 bottled = $14.00 deposit, and so on.
Future deliveries will be handled as an even exchange.
For example, 1 full bottle is delivered and 1 empty bottle is picked up = no deposit.

Do you take bottles from other companies?
Yes, we are happy to except empty 5-gallon water bottles from any company. Including national brands such as Primo and Deer Park. The bottles must be in clean re-useable condition.
Do you offer BPA free water bottles?
Yes, we do! We are happy to offer several BPA (bisphenol A) free water bottle options including all small pack cases, 1, and 2.5 gallon bottles. Our 5-gallon reverse osmosis and distilled water bottles, Deer Park 5-gallon, and Diamond Spring 5-gallon are also made from BPA free PET #1 plastic. Mountain Valley spring water comes is glass bottles.
Our 3-gallon bottles and spring or distilled 5-gallon bottles are made from polycarbonate #7, a food grade plastic which may contain trace levels of BPA. The FDA has again confirmed the safety of BPA for current approved uses in food containers and packaging including these water bottles.
Are glass water bottles available?
Yes, Distillata is a proud distributor of Mountain Valley Spring Water who have a number of premium spring and sparkling water products available in glass containers. These glass bottles come in a variety of sizes, including 11 oz, 1 liter, 2.5 liter, 5 gallon and more.
How should I store my bottled water?
Bottled water should be stored somewhere cool and dark, preferably in a basement or closet. Your water and cooler should be kept out of direct sunlight and fluorescent light. If this is not possible then we can provide a cover for your cooler.
How often will my water be delivered?
There are three options: every 2 weeks, every 4 weeks or upon your request. Certain outlying areas can only receive deliveries every 4 weeks. Just let us know the schedule you prefer.
Do I have to be home for water deliveries?
No. We will leave the water bottles and dispensers wherever you like. However, once they are delivered you assume responsibility.
How do holidays impact my water deliveries?
The majority of the time your water will be delivered 1 day early. This does vary from time to time. If your delivery falls on the week of or the week before a delivery contact our customer service department for your delivery date or sign in to your account to view your delivery schedule.
What do I do with my empty water bottles?
Simply leave them in a safe spot and we will leave your full bottles in the same location.
How will I know when my delivery is coming?
We will let you know what your delivery schedule will be following your initial set up. At that time you can request a water delivery calendar or opt for phone call / text message reminders. Or you can do so by filling out this form.
How do I set up a new water cooler?

Do you have child safety locks for the spigots on my dispenser?
Yes we do! Contact our customer service department or your driver and we will be more than happy to provide that for you. Our child-proof water cooler spigots will keep your children safe from hot water and prevent spills. Learn how it works here.
What should I do if my cooler leaks?
A water cooler leak is usually caused by the bottle itself. If there is a pinhole or a crack somewhere in the bottle it will overfill the reservoir of your cooler and leak out the back. To remedy this, simply take the bottle off the dispenser, drain the cooler out through the spigots and put a new bottle on. Mark the bottle that caused the problem and your driver will exchange it for you at no charge. If you try this and the cooler continues to leak please contact our customer service department.

Can I use Distillata water bottles with other brand coolers?
We prefer that you use our water cooler. However, the bottles are fairly universal and can be used in most coolers.

What are the dimensions of a bottled water cooler?
All of our water coolers are about 1 foot wide and 1 foot deep. They are about 4 feet tall without the bottle. With the bottle on top of the unit, they are approximately 5 feet and two inches.
How is Distillata water produced?
Distillata offers four different kinds of locally-sourced water, as well as water from top brands such as Mountain Valley. Click here for a quick tutorial on how our water is produced.
Is your water tested on a regular basis?
All of the waters are tested at the source, throughout the bottling process, and as a final product. The caps and bottles are tested as well. We perform in-house hourly monitoring. Weekly and yearly testing is performed by National Testing Laboratories and submitted to the Ohio Department of Agriculture. You can view copies of our yearly testing below.
What are bottle date codes?
The date codes located on all of our water bottles indicate the date the water was bottled. For the best results you should use the water within two years of the date code.
Are Distillata water bottles reused?
Yes, our 3 and 5 gallon water bottles are reused dozens of times. Between each use they are inspected and sanitized with our state of the art equipment. When they are no longer useable, we recycle our 5 and 5 gallon water bottles with a local company.
To what areas does Distillata deliver?
Distillata services all of Northeast Ohio. We deliver to the following counties: Geauga, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Ashtabula, Lake, Summit, Portage, Stark, Wayne, Trumbull, Mahoning, Medina, and Columbiana.
Can I pick my water up instead?
